Here’s something I bet you didn’t know about graphite shafts:
In most of them, the carbon fiber breaks down with repeated use.
And when that happens, the flex becomes “softer,” or weaker. In other words, that “S” flex you bought a couple years ago is now closer to an “R.”
The more you play and practice, the faster it happens.
Now, notice I said “most” graphite shafts. That’s because most shaft companies – even the biggest brands on the market – use cheap carbon fiber in all but their priciest products.
